LittleBigPlanet Delayed Due to Discovery of XXX Content

Well, not really. One of the songs from the game's soundtrack quotes words from the Quran. That's the "inappropriate" content. Specifically, the two phrases "Every soul shall have the taste of death", and "All that is on earth will perish". A Muslim user of the Playstation forums noticed these phrases in this thread, saying "We Muslims consider the mixing of music and words from our Holy Quran deeply offending. We hope you would remove that track from the game immediately via an online patch, and make sure that all future shipments of the game disk do not contain it." I think that he's definitely on to something with that patch suggestion, and I don't understand why Sony is recalling all the games in this age of fancy patchery. But, I also don't understand what makes those quotes offensive to Muslims. If anything, I think the quotes scare people who aren't Muslim. I know I'm scared by the quotes. In fact, I'd like a comforting hug after reading them.

To hear the offending song, click here (iTunes). It sounds like a jolly enough song, and the kind of track that definitely belongs in LittleBigPlanet. This fuss is all for naught, and only people who understand Arabic will hear the words, and only people who understand Arabic might be offended (but they probably won't, because who gives an ass if a musician quoted the Quran?), and I really just want to get my hands on this game. Guess I'll have to wait for October 28th.
